This
is one of the most sought after events imaginable
and has been performed for companies such as British
Airways, Honda Motors, P&O Cruises on board
‘Oriana’ and is always just as successful
with scores of smaller companies.
The stage is set with three cookers interspersed
with worktables upon which lies a host of ingredients
and equipment. The Company predetermines who will
be the two ‘Reluctant Cooks’ and in
many cases they omit to inform the candidates! Kevin
is pre-armed with lots of information about the
two contestants and is therefore able to use this
information during the course of the show.
It appears that what is in store is a straightforward
cookery demonstration and once Kevin bounces on
stage the fun begins. He very quickly calls the
two unsuspecting ‘cooks’ onto the stage.
Following a very brief introduction as to the menu,
the cooking begins and our ‘guest cooks’
have it all on to follow Kevin in preparing an identical
three course meal all within the allotted 35 minutes.
The problem is that Kevin knows all of their little
foibles, nicknames and past history within the Company,
so what the audience get is far more than just a
cookery demonstration.
